Terror Attack: Gunman Opens Fire on Commuters Riding Train

A breaking news story has just been reported out of the Netherlands today. According to officials, a terrorist attack has just taken place.

Officials say a gunman opened fire on innocent people commuting on a local train. The gunman is said to still be at-large as police swarm the area. The mayor has confirmed that multiple people have died from their wounds.

"Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte says that the Netherlands has been hit by an attack in Utrecht and that terrorism isn't excluded, after one person was killed in a tram shooting along with an unknown number of wounded," reported Bloomberg.

Police are searching for a 37-year-old man who is from Turkey. He is thought to be the main suspect in the attack. At this time, no motive is clear for the killing. Multiple other people have also been wounded in the killing spree.

"Police showed the picture of a bearded man sitting on public transport and dressed in a dark blue top with a hood tucked in his neck. Police identified him as Gokmen Tanis. It was the first image distributed of someone linked to the shooting. Police warned citizens not to approach the man but call authorities instead," according to reports.
