Tekashi 6ix9ine, who claimed he was broke in court, posted more than $1 million in cash to Instagram in just a few weeks.
“THE REAL KING OF NEW YORK!! I’M BACK! ASK THEM TO POSTE THERE HOUSE, THEY BANK ACCOUNT. YOU DON’T LIVE LIKE THIS. I OWN EVERYTHING YOU GUYS LEASE! I TOOK RAP FOR 2 YEARS!! I COULD DO THAT! THE REAL KING OF NEW YORK!! Tomorrow GINÈ MUSIC VIDEO 3PM EASTERN!!” he captioned the video.
In court, 6ix9ine told a judge: “Right now, I am struggling to make ends meet. I don’t know if my career will ever recover the amount of advances I received prior to my arrest. Prior to my arrest, I received large advances under the recording and merchandising contracts. However, I do not receive any royalties under those agreements either since my royalty accounts remain un-recouped.”
Has anyone told the rapper that courts also look at social media?
