Taylor Swift No Longer the Highest-Earning Female Musician

November 20, 2017Nov 20, 2017

Taylor Swift is no longer the highest-earning female musician in the entertainment business. A title she held until today.

According to Forbes, Beyonce is now the highest-paid woman in the music business for 2017. The singer has earned an impressive $105 million before taxes.

Following Beyonce for the number two spot is Adele. The "Hello" singer brought in $69 million last year. Adele began touring again this last year, after taking a break since 2011, and her seven-figure nightly grosses helped in earning her ranking.

Swift, who is reported to have earned $44 million, has moved down to the number three spot. However, Swift's most recent release of her album "Reputation" has already been named the best-selling album of 2017.

The information on income for the singers was gathered between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017.  The earnings from her newest album will do nothing but give her a huge boost in her earnings for next year.

What do you think about the list of highest-earners? Was there someone who you thought should be higher on the list? Let us know your thoughts on this on our Facebook page. In other breaking news, sadly a star from the show "Touched by an Angel" has sadly passed away.
