One of the most famous retail stores in America is the mega-store, Target. The retailer has made a large impact in the consumer world in recent years by offering a wide selection of products at affordable prices.

While some people prefer to not support the store based on their political and religious beliefs, other customers continue to buy more and more products from Target.

Now, a major recall has just hit the iconic store. Customers are being warned about a potentially deadly situation that can occur from one of the most popular beauty products sold at Target.

"Nearly 75,000 Ionic Pro hair dryers have been recalled after dozens of reports of sparking and smoking. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the cord can become brittle near the base of the dryer, posing burn hazards," according to reports.

The hairdryers were allegedly sold at Target, as well as purchased on Amazon and Groupon. Anyone who believes they have one of the items is encouraged to discontinue use and seek a refund via returning the item.

"The recall involves the Ionic Pro 2000 and 2000W hand-held hair dryers sold under the ISO Beauty and Proliss brand names. The bottom rear of the dryers has 'ISO' or 'Proliss' printed and model number HD-1820. The dryers were sold in the following colors: black, white, white pearl, peacock, white zebra, pink leopard, blue, and giraffe," according to the report.
