Over the last few days, more information has been revealed about Aretha's health. Her family confirmed the rumors and Aretha's publicist called her "severely ill." Still, her nephew said that they are hoping for the best outcome for the legendary singer.

61-year-old Jakes called the singer a "friend to this ministry" and talked about her radical influence in society. He talked about the barriers that she was able to cross and about how she is the "Queen of Soul" both "on and off stage."
