"I think it is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times because that line is not real," said a famous Hollywood celebrity in reference to Kathy Griffin's despicable photo shoot this week. That comedian? Mr. Jim Carrey.
At a recent event, Carrey defended Griffin's remarks and also called it hypocritical to bash her. He believes at least half the country has imagined themselves holding President Trump's head.
Carrey also said comedians are the "last line of defense" and the "voice of truth". He called out President Trump for bringing this all on himself by his actions in his administration.
“I had a dream the other night I was playing golf with Donald Trump. I was standing beside him with a club in my hand, and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up. It was one of those dreams where you just want to get back to sleep so you can finish it, you know?” he said.
The internet was quick to spread the news of Carrey's disturbing remarks. Some folks were calling for a boycott of the comedian for his stance on the issue.
What do you think about all of this? If you liked Jim Carey before, are you still a fan? Were his comments out of line?
