Summer Scare: 60,000 Popular Coolers Recalled for Deadly Reason

Summer is one of the best times of the year. Millions of people around the nation are preparing for a wonderful summer season. Many are even getting things ready in order to take full advantage of the nice weather.

When people have picnics in the park or go camping outside, they usually bring a cooler with them. Thousands of coolers are sold each year. Sadly, one major brand is recalling 60,000 coolers for a terrifying reason.

"Texas-based Igloo Products Corp. is recalling some 60,000 Marine Elite Coolers over a stainless steel latch that can automatically lock when the lid is closed, posing a suffocation and entrapment risk," reported WPXI.

The coolers were supposed to be used near water, so they make a super tight seal. They also have wheels that allow users to pull them along instead of trying to lift them. However, the coolers shut and lock so tightly that they are risks for children if they climb inside and get stuck.

"The recall only includes the Igloo Marine Elite line of coolers, which are white with stainless steel latches and the Igloo logo embossed on the latch and on the outside of the coolers, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission," according to reports.

Please tell your friends and family about this recall! This is extremely serious and we want to prevent anything bad from happening!
