Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler just announced that he has had to cancel all of his shows with his band, reported People. The cancellation came after a doctor advised him to seek immediate care.

In a statement, Tyler shared that his doctors advised him that he could not continue to travel and perform. That meant Aerosmith had to cancel the last four shows of their South American tour.

Tyler, 69, posted the statement on his Twitter account Tuesday evening. He strongly apologizing to fans, telling them that he felt like he had let them down.

His representative noted in the statement that Tyler “is expected to make a full recovery. With proper rest and treatment, he will be back on his feet soon rocking the world.”

The rockstar included his own comments at the end of the statement. He specifically addressed his South American fans. He told them that he needed to deal with the health situation immediately, even if he wasn’t in dire danger.

“To everybody in South America… Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Mexico… I’m very sorry and feel like I’ve let you down…. I won’t be able to continue the last four shows of this tour. I flew back to the US on doctor’s orders last night after the show in Sao Paulo.”

He continued, “I am not in a life threatening condition, but I need to deal with this right away, and get some rest and medical care immediately in order to sustain and maintain my future performances.”

He concluded with promises to return to South America to do his shows. However, he declined to schedule a makeup date.

“I promise I’ll be back… unfortunately, health does not wait and it’s something even I can’t schedule around our shows… As they say, ‘We humans make plans, and God laughs…..'”

Say a prayer for Tyler that he’ll feel better! In other news, one of the Kardashian girls just announced she’s pregnant. Find out which one.
