Nevada Secretary of State, Barbara Cegavske, wrote a letter to DMV director, Terri Albertson, expressing her concerns about their voting registration process for the 2016 presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
The letter (provided by The Daily Caller) dated April 14th of 2017 states:
“It has come to our attention that when offering voter registration opportunities to customers, DMV’s employees offer voter registration materials to DMV customers whom they know to be non-citizens based upon their presentation of a Green Card for identification purposes.”
“More specifically, it is our understanding that some DMV employees have been instructed to accept registration materials from all customers, including those who present a Green Card for identification purposes.”
The letter continues:
“This practice must cease immediately. Please take appropriate actions, as we have reason to believe that non-citizens have unlawfully registered to vote in Nevada as a direct result of DMV’s practices. Moreover, we now have confirmed that some non-citizens illegally cast votes in the 2016 election.”
At this point, it is unknown how many illegals voted and who they voted for. However, Hillary Clinton did win Nevada with 6 electoral votes.
The DMV responded saying their processes were approved, but The Secretary of State is still requesting documentation from the DMV to determine more information.
Do you think this would have made a difference in the overall outcome of the 2016 election?
