Southern Charm star Craig Conover opened up about his addiction. He claims he couldn’t film the show without it.
“In those first seasons, I often blamed myself on my internal demons for the outside pressures that I was facing,” Conover wrote in his upcoming book, Pillow Talk: What’s Wrong?, according to Page Six.
“I needed to finish my work so I took Adderall. I was anxious about having to be ‘on’ when I went to the bars, which led me to take more Adderall. And so on.”
He claims he was taking three 15mg capsules a day. “I used Adderall as a quick, happy pill. But I didn’t realize that I was contributing to my depression.”
Conover’s sewing company made his cohosts laugh, but it saved his life.
“It sounds dark, but it gave my purpose, and Sewing Down South just turned into an incredible part of mine life,” he said. “Finding that company finally just allowed me that purpose and something to do for instead of getting validation by going out or any other unhealthy means that may have been used to me.”
