Multiple news outlets are reporting that 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney was treated for cancer over the summer.
CNN news anchor Jake Tapper tweeted that Romney, who is 70, underwent the treatment in California.
"Source close to @MittRomney: Mitt Romney was treated over the summer for prostate cancer. He was treated surgically by Dr. Thomas Ahlering at UC Irvine Hospital in California. His prognosis is good; he was successfully treated.”
NBC tweeted something similar. They confirmed Tapper's report.
"JUST IN: Mitt Romney was treated over the summer for prostate cancer, @NBCNews confirms."
