Sheriff David Clarke addressed the Republican convention on Monday with a brilliant and passionate speech. As a sheriff, his life and the lives of his fellow officers are on the line daily to keep American citizens safe and secure. In the past two weeks, sheriff Clarke along with all Americans have watched the news in horror as racist individuals targeted and murdered police officers in multiple states.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to make something very clear,” Clarke said as he took to the stage. “Blue Lives Matter in America! I stand before you tonight with a heavy heart as the law enforcement community prepares to bury three of Baton Rouge’s finest.”

Sheriff Clarke believes the chaos was born from Black Lives Matter rhetoric, according to breitbart. “What we witnessed in Ferguson, in Baltimore, and in Baton Rouge was a collapse of social order,” Clarke said. “So many of the actions of the Occupy movement and Black Lives Matter transcend peaceful protest, and violates the code of conduct we rely on. I call it anarchy.”

Clarke believes that Donald Trump wants to make America great again and that starts with a safe and law abiding society. “We simply cannot be great if we do not feel safe in our homes, on our streets, and in our schools,” Clarke said. “I see this every day, at street level, where many Americans increasingly have an uneasiness about the ability of their families to live safely in these troubling times. This transcends race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, and lifestyle.”
