A great tragedy took place over the weekend. Grammy Award-winning musician and one of the founding members of the long-standing famous heavy metal band “Slipknot,” Shawn Crahan — also known as “Clown” or “#6,” announced the passing of his 22-year-old daughter.
“It is with a broken heart, and from a place of the deepest pain, that I have to inform all of you that my youngest daughter, Gabrielle, passed away yesterday - Saturday, May 18th, 2019,” Crahan said in a social media statement.
His daughter’s cause of death was not immediately released to the public. According to the Daily Mail, Gabrielle celebrated 5 months of sobriety in an AA program just three days before her death. However, news reports did not specify if alcoholism was a connection.
Funeral arrangements are in the works, reported Fox News. Crahan also requested privacy during his family’s time of mourning.
In addition to her father, Gabrielle leaves behind her mother, Chantel, and her siblings: Alexandria, Gage, and Simon.
Please keep this family in your prayers as they cope with this tragic loss. In other recent news, a well-known supporting actor took his own life at only 42 years old.
