Shaquille O'Neal is one of the most recognizable figures on the planet. The former NBA legend is a mountain of a man. Although Shaq has been retired for years, he is still very affluent thanks to the millions he made while playing basketball.

Now, Shaq is putting those dollars to use in an inspiring way. He has just donated money to help pay for the funeral of a 7-year-old girl who was recently killed in a drive-by shooting.

"O’Neal is teaming up with a Houston police officer to cover the costs of the funeral, according to Houston’s KPRC2. O’Neal and the Houston officer, Kenneth Miles, dropped off a cashier’s check last week, according to a report from The Hill.

"I just wanted to keep the pain away, trying to raise money and pay for the funeral because funerals can be quite expensive," O’Neal told KPRC2.

At this time, police have made two arrests in the case. Multiple men have been arrested in connection with the shooting which police believe may have been a case of "mistaken" identity.

"Eric Black Jr., 20, was arrested and is expected to be charged with capital murder. He is accused of driving the car used in the shooting. Jazmine was in a car with her mother and sisters when she was shot in the head," reported The Hill.
