It's unclear if Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, will make it to the wedding. Luckily, Meghan won't be entirely alone on her wedding day. The mother of the bride, Doria Ragland, has safely arrived in London.
According to People, She landed in London on Wednesday. After passing customs, she was picked up at the airport by Amy Pickerill, Meghan’s new private assistant secretary. From there, she spent the afternoon with her daughter and future son-in-law, Prince Harry.
What is even more interesting than her arrival is what she brought with her: a garment bag. She was spotted with a Burberry garment bag.
That British brand is a frontrunner for designing Meghan's dress. If that holds Ragland's dress for the wedding, then this seems to hint that Meghan might have gone with Burberry for her wedding dress.
"If both Meghan and Doria, a yoga instructor and social worker, wear gowns from Burberry, it wouldn’t be the first time the same fashion house designed multiple looks for a royal wedding. For Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding, both she and her sister and maid of honor, Pippa Middleton, wore dresses from Alexander McQueen," noted People.
With Meghan's father likely not attending the wedding, it's highly possible that Ragland will perform the duty of walking her daughter done the aisle. This wouldn't be the first time she's replaced Meghan's father in traditional roles. People confirmed that Harry called her to ask for permission to marry Meghan.
Only time will tell how the saga turns out. Meghan's father has changed his mind about attending the wedding several times this week.
