This Christmas is a milestone for the first family. It's President Trump and First Lady Melania's first Christmas in the White House.
To commemorate the event, the White House has released a portrait of the couple. It shows them standing side-by-side, holding hands.
The photo shows the couple as a united front. It's a welcome sight in a divided nation.
This isn't the only great photo to come out of the White House in preparation for Christmas. Here are some photos of the beautiful, traditional decorations in the White House for Christmas 2017.
President Trump has been rolling back the Obama trend for a religionless Christmas. He kept the Nativity front and center, and the couple hasn't shied away from the word Christmas.
"As with many families across the country, holiday traditions are very important to us," said Melania Trump in a statement. "I hope when visiting the People's House this year, visitors will get a sense of being home for the holidays. On behalf of my husband and Barron, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season."
Merry Christmas to the Trump family! In other news, President Trump addressed rumors that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is retiring in 2018. See what he had to say.
