Last spring, ABC Network announced that they would be canceling Tim Allen’s popular show, “Last Man Standing.” The show appealed to a conservative audience and the sudden cancellation of it was attributed to politics, as the ratings of it were consistently high.
While fans of the show were devastated, in January they were given hopeful news. Rumors emerged that the show would be rebooting.
64-year-old Tim Allen is the executive producer and star of “Last Man Standing,” and he weighed in on the support from fans to bring the show back for a seventh season.
He said, “The support from all the fans to bring back ‘Last Man Standing’ is truly overwhelming to me and so appreciated.”
Fans were excited to hear that the news went beyond just rumors, and are actually becoming a reality. Many believe that Fox decided to bring back the show after the highly successful return of the fellow conservative comedy “Roseanne.”
Not only were fans excited, but the show’s star talked about his feelings about is as well.
Tim Allen said, “When I heard the offer to create more episodes of ‘Last Man Standing,’ I did a fist pump so hard I threw my back out. It’s the fans! I could not be more grateful for the fans who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show.”
