For the Top Gun: Maverick film premiere in London — which made their relationship red carpet official — in May 2022, Dobrev and White looked like cast members themselves in coordinating black-tie ensembles. The Love hardThe gown was figure-hugging and ivory with cut outs. It also featured a slit. Dobrev kept it simple and sleek by wearing a classic updo with hoop earrings, a red lip, and a pair of hoop earrings. For White’s look, the star athlete complemented Dobrev in a white blazer teamed with tailored trousers and glossy black loafers. The duo weren’t camera shy when it came to showing off their affection, posing arm and arm and gazing into each other’s eyes.
A few days later the Top GunScreening, the Canadian-born actress from Bulgaria and the Olympic gold medalist jetted off for another fashion moment in France. The couple was seen together at the With Love for Peace Gala at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Dobrev wore a Maison Valentino blush, crystal-embellished gown and a mini bag from this luxury label. White continued to let his lady shine during the 2022 amfAR gala. The Whitespace founder suited up in a black tuxedo alongside Dobrev, who was red hot in Mônot gown. The sexy look featured a deep neckline, a one-shoulder design, and was finished with a glove. The look was completed with Jimmy Choo heels that sparkle and a diamond choker.
White and Dobrev were photographed in Greece in April 2022 ahead of their back to back public appearances. The lovebirds showed that they can pull off timeless off-duty style by being photographed enjoying coffee at a local cafe. For the outing, the Fresh Vine cofounder and the California native wore matching brown outwear pieces — Dobrev in a camel coat and White in a suede bomber. Dobrev paired her look well with a black sweater, jeans, and white pants. White wore a white shirt and black pants.
In February 2020, dating rumors began to swirl after fans noticed they had shared similar photos from a trip in South Africa. One month later, they were photographed together during a Malibu bike ride.
Us Weekly reported in April 2020 that White and Dobrev were actually a couple. A source said at the time, “They’re enjoying their time together and getting to know each other better. Nina really likes Shaun, and they both laugh a lot together.”
