Over the last few weeks, President Trump and First Lady Melania made their way around Europe for a series of important meetings. They began their trip in Belgium for the NATO summit, went to the UK for meetings with the Prime Minister and the Queen, and then went to Finland where President Trump met with President Putin of Russia.

Now, some sad news has been reported about their European trip. After a quick stop in England, President Trump and Melania went to Scotland to relax and spend time on the golf course before making their way to Finland.

While there, one of President Trump’s secret service agents suffered from a severe stroke. Now, sadly, the news has been confirmed that he has passed away several days later.

The Secret Service said that it is “with great sadness and regret” to report that he died. They confirmed that he passed away while surrounded by family and his “extended Secret Service family.”

At this point, the agent’s identity has not been revealed to the public.

The agency said, “He was a dedicated professional of the highest order. The secret service thanks the medical personnel in Scotland, in addition to the members of the White House Medical Unit and Police Scotland,  who provided exceptional care and support for a member of our family.”

According to Newsweek, the agent had been serving for 19 years. He spent the end of his life protecting the president and First Lady from attacks and protestors in Europe.

Please be praying for the family and friends of this secret service agent who dedicated his life to serving the country and protecting our leaders. Please pray for comfort during this time, and share your prayers here!
