A New York Times story went viral Monday afternoon after it revealed that President Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen — who recently had his office raided by the FBI — had a secret client named Sean Hannity. Hannity is one of America’s most popular conservative talk show hosts and has been generally supportive of the president.

The Times reported that a lawyer for Cohen didn’t want to reveal Hannity’s name for fear of embarrassing him. A judge ordered him to do it anyway.

The Times’ Twitter followers were ecstatic with the news, believing it meant something big.

But Hannity soon defended himself on Twitter, explaining that it’s inaccurate to call him one of Cohen’s clients.
