Tragic news has just hit home for Scott Baio and his family. According to breaking news reports, Scott's wife has been diagnosed with Microvascular brain disease.

"Microvascular brain disease, or Microvascular Ischemic Disease as it’s sometimes referred, affects small blood vessels in the brain and is commonly linked to chronic illness, hypertension, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, and high blood pressure," according to Health Line.

Scott's wife Renee has previously been diagnosed with two meningioma brain tumors. She has been married to Scott for over 10 years and share a 10-year-old daughter together.

Renee was a previous stuntwoman and actress. Unfortunately, she suffered several injuries during her career which has now caused some to wonder the connection between her injuries and recent diagnosis.

“Renee was a former stuntwoman and had a massive brain injury in ’92 due to a jet ski accident. We don’t know if her tumors and this new disease has anything to do with this,” he said. “All we know is she must live as stress-free, depression free and anxiety free life as possible and a get good amount of sleep each night. This new disease can cause strokes and dementia," Scoot has shared.

The pair also took to social media to share updates about the heartbreaking news. Please join us in praying for the entire Baio family during this difficult time.

"Besides having 2 meningioma brain tumors, in Oct 2017 I also learned I have Microvascular Brain Disease," Renee shared on Twitter.
