Sarah Palin Responds to McCain's Regret Over Running with Her

Recently, Senator John McCain has been making headlines for a statement he made about having Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. McCain admitted in his upcoming book that he had regrets about running with Palin in the 2008 election.

While he did offer praise for all of Palin's work on the campaign, he has said that not choosing his friend Joseph Lieberman as his running mate was "another mistake" he had made throughout his career. His political advisors had warned against him choosing Lieberman, however, McCain wrote: "My gut told me to ignore it and I wish I had."

After news of McCain's regrets surfaced, Palin has responded to his claims. On Thursday, Palin shared with "The Daily Mail" that she feels a "perpetual gut punch" every time she reads the reports. She also went on to say that seeing it in the news every day is "not a real fun thing."

Even with all the news of McCain's remorse, Palin refutes the claims made in his new book by saying, "that's not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years."

She also went on to say, “I attribute a lot of what we’re hearing and reading regarding McCain’s statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriter. I don’t know unless I heard it from Sen. McCain myself.”
