American actress Sarah Hyland, 28, recently suffered from unknown health issues that landed her in the hospital for four days. She reportedly “couldn’t breathe” and was dealing with chronic “chest pain” before checking herself into the emergency room over the weekend.
A health update on the actress was provided on Tuesday, June 25th. According to PEOPLE, the “Modern Family” star has been released from the hospital, but medical professionals could not determine a cause for her symptoms.
“Long story short, I went in because I was feeling like I was being choked from whatever’s in the house,” she told fans on social media. “And then I was like, maybe it’s just a coincidence, maybe there’s something actually medically wrong with me. So I went to the ER after a very long day of work.”
“They ran multiple tests, multiple times, and there’s nothing physically wrong with me. So. Wonder why I was there…,” Hyland added.
Prior to her four-day hospitalization, Hyland appeared to be doing well. She made several recent public appearances including the 2019 CMT Music Awards event and friend Kimberly (Hidalgo) Daugherty’s wedding to actor Brant Daugherty.
However, the former Disney actress has dealt with physical and mental health complications in the past. Hyland has had more than 16 surgeries in her lifetime due to kidney dysplasia and endometriosis. Because of her illness, she previously struggled with suicidal thoughts.
Please keep Hyland in your prayers as she continues recovery. In other celebrity news, the lead singer of a Grammy-nominated music group sadly passed away following complications with Parkinsons’ Disease.
