Later in the morning, Haines addressed her departure on “The View” in an emotional announcement.

“I will be leaving the show for the best reason, but I have to start with this: I’ve watched ‘The View’ since it began...This has been a dream I’ve always had — to be on this show,” Haines stated as she began to tear up.

“Everyday I walk out here, I’ve never taken it for granted...I’ve been crying. People keep telling me — Joy Behar — she keeps telling me not to cry, so I won’t cry,” she said with a chuckle. “But I never thought in a million years I would be leaving one dream job for another dream job.

Haines’ co-hosts chimed in and assured they were happy for her big change. Watch Haines’ full announcement on “The View” below:

Fans were shocked by the sudden announcement, especially since the news comes shortly after Paula Faris announced her departure from the show, as well.

As of late Monday morning, there has been no word on Haines’ replacement.
