It’s no secret that several members of President Donald Trump’s administration are unashamed of their belief in God. The President himself as well as Vice President Mike Pence, Dr. Ben Carson, and many others are very outspoken about their Christian values.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who replaced Sean Spicer, is also a member of the White House who is a widely-known Christian. She came from a Godly family, being the daughter of former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee, and has carried those values with her in her own life.
Politico Magazine recently released a story on Sanders titled, “The Puzzle of Sarah Huckabee Sanders,” which dives into the press secretary’s backstory and behind-the-scenes of her life at the White House.
In the article, there’s a short description of how Sanders goes to God before every single briefing. She says a prayer and reads a devotional before addressing the media and the public.
“Before every briefing, Sanders prays and reads from a book of devotions in her office overlooking the White House lawn,” Politico reported. “Artwork by her children hangs on a board behind her desk, and across the room is a shelf with a few books, including The Christian Life and Character and Gone With the Wind.
“She’s the first mother to serve in the job, and nearly everyone who deals with her marvels at her ability to balance work and life,” the writer of the story added.
