The world of reality television provides a lot of entertainment for viewers. Many people love to watch their favorite family, or personality, or even a game show.
However, while things can be all fun for the viewers, the struggles of reality television are all too real for the people being filmed. Sadly, a reality star was recently found dead.
James Bonner was discovered in a ditch with a gunshot wound to the head. He was only 30 years old. Please join us in praying for his family during this awful time.
"A man who recently documented his weight loss journey on “My 600-lb Life” was found dead on Thursday night. James 'L.B.' Bonner was found in a ditch with a gunshot wound in Lexington, S.C., according to a police report. He was 30 years old," reported Page Six.
James was also an amputee. He struggled with weight issues and was featured on the TLC reality show. He also had a history of addictive behaviors and abuse. Police were called to do a welfare check on James when they found his body.
“As we await information from the coroner’s report on Mr. Bonner’s death, we are not seeking any persons of interest or suspects as part of our continuing work on the case,” the Lexington’s Public Information Officer told Page Six.
Sadly, new information has been revealed in the case. His death has officially been ruled a suicide.
"Before his death, L.B. posted a cryptic message on Facebook saying, 'I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shown me love and support throughout my journey...I've realized a few things over the last few days and its time that, I face my demons head-on,'" he wrote online.
