Congratulations are in order for country star Ryan Calhoun and his wife Chrissy Calhoun! The parents, who have been married for five years, just welcomed their second son the day after the Fourth of July holiday.
According to PEOPLE, baby Ace Chadwick Calhoun was born shortly after 10:00 PM on Friday, July 5th. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 oz and measured 20.5 inches in length.
“We are so thankful for the staff at Williamson Medical Center and for a happy, healthy baby boy,” the new parents told PEOPLE.
Chrissy’s water reportedly broke while their family was playing a game of Scrabble. She started experiencing “unbearable contractions” and barely made it to the hospital.
The “Who We Are” singer revealed the inspiration behind their newborn son’s name: “We had our ‘Ace in the hole’ or ‘Ace in the pocket,’ as they say. And Chadwick is after my brother.”
He joins older brother Knox Presley. Knox is now two years old and just started preschool.
Congratulations to the Calhoun family on their newest addition! May God continue to bless them.
In breaking news, a toddler tragically fell 11 stories while vacationing with her family on a cruise ship. Please pray for her parents.
