Russians Send More Planes To U.S. Airspace As Tensions Rise

Last week, Russian bombers came within 35 miles of the Alaskan mainland. The United States scrambled fighter jets and radar equipped planes to make sure the Russian bombers returned to their respective base.

The bombers were also capable of carrying nuclear weapons. Their presence near Alaska comes as an aggressive action at a time when the United States and Russia are already battling over Syrian relations.

While the bombers returned to Russia, America is still left wondering what Russia may be planning.
