President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani silenced reporters Thursday over the Stormy Daniels controversy, addressing feminists who have come out in her support.
The porn star alleges that President Trump had an affair with her while married to Melania. The White House has denied the allegations.
“If you’re going to sell your body for money, you just don’t’ have a reputation,” said Giuliani. “I may be old-fashioned, I dunno,” he said on Wednesday while in Tel Aviv, Israel, according to The Washington Examiner.
CNN pressed Giuliani further Thursday by asking him whether his views on women in the porn industry were “antiquated.”
Giuliani replied, “I kind of like my view of it better,” explaining that historically feminists had thought of porn as demeaning to women. “The business you were in entitles you to no degree of giving your credibility any weight,” he said.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has worked in the adult film industry. Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, responded to Giuliani’s by calling him “an absolute pig,” according to CNN.
Giuliani added, “If you’re involved in a sort of slimy business, (that) says something about you – says something how far you’ll go to make money. Our real point about her is that she’s not just generally un-credible, she’s un-credible from the point of view of wanting to get money. She’s a con artist.”
