As the holiday season quickly approaches, many families have been sending out Christmas cards to their loved ones. This is no different for politicians, celebrities, or even royals.
Last week, President Trump and Melania released their first official Christmas photo from the White House. Now, the royal family has released their adorable photo.
The photo features Prince William and Duchess Kate with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. This will be their last Christmas spent as a family of four, as they are welcoming a new little one in the spring of 2018.
The Royal photographer for Getty Images, Chris Jackson, took the family's portrait. It was taken earlier this year at Kensington Palace.
Below is the official photo:
This year has brought about several changes for the royal family. In the fall, Prince George began his formal education. He currently attends Thomas's Battersea School a few miles away from Kensington Palace.
2018 will bring several other major changes for the royals. In January, Princess Charlotte is set to begin nursery school. She will be going to the Willcocks Nursery School in London. Only a couple of months later, she will welcome a new sibling and they will become a family of five.
About a month after William and Kate have their third child, they will be welcoming another new family member as well. Earlier this month, Prince Harry announced his engagement to American celebrity Meghan Markle. Their royal wedding will take place in May.
Congrats to the royal family on all of their exciting, recent news! Merry Christmas! In other recent news, Sarah Palin's oldest son was just arrested on domestic violence charges.
