Royal Baby Alert: Queen Elizabeth Welcomes 7th Great-Grandchild, Fans Cheering

On Tuesday, June 19, the Buckingham Palace confirmed that a new royal baby has arrived! Zara Phillips Tindall and Mike Tindall welcomed their second daughter into the world!

The baby girl was born on Monday, June 18. She weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces (the biggest royal baby in 100 years). Now, Zara and Mike are a family of four and have two daughters- the new royal baby and 4-year-old Mia Grace.

The Buckingham Palace said, “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr. Philip and Mrs. Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.”

Zara Phillips Tindall is one of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s grandchildren. She is the daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips. Now, the Queen has a total of seven great-grandchildren!

Queen Elizabeth’s other great-grandchildren include Savannah Phillips, Isla Phillips, Prince George, Mia Tindall, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Zara and Mike Tindall announced that they were pregnant with their second child in January. The exciting news came just over a year after they revealed that they had suffered a miscarriage.

After the news was revealed that Zara's baby had been born, fans started sharing their congratulations on social media!

The Queen seems to be in high spirits lately. Recently, she took a trip with Duchess Meghan and the two were giddy with laughter the entire time! With the news of her new great-grandchild, she will be even more excited!
