Congratulations are in order! A Hollywood power couple is expecting a new bundle of joy.
Famous American actor Richard Gere, best-known for his roles in “Pretty Woman,” “Shall We Dance?”, and “Runaway Bride,” confirmed he is going to be a father at 69 years old. Recently, Gere has also starred in “Brooklyn’s Finest,” “The Double,” and “Time Out of Mind.”
Gere’s new wife Alejandra, 35, made the exciting announcement in an Instagram post featuring the Dalai Lama over the weekend. She and Gere wed earlier this year but had been dating since 2014.
“A very special moment just a few minutes ago... Getting blessings for our precious to come.. we couldn’t say it before telling HH Dalai Lama,” Mrs. Gere announced on social media.
Both Gere and his spouse have one child each from their previous marriages, so this will be their third child in their blended family. Gere has 18-year-old son Homer James Jigme, while Alejandra has a 5-year-old son named Albert, reported PEOPLE.
