The NFL community is praying hard for Washington Redskins’ linebacker Reuben Foster, 25. Foster, unfortunately, suffered a season-ending injury during the team’s first day of Organized Team Activities (OTAs), according to the NFL’s official website.
Foster allegedly tore his left ACL and potentially suffered additional “major, significant” damage. It is unclear exactly what led to the injury, but he reportedly landed in an awkward position during Monday’s on-field practice. There was no contact involved in the drill.
Video footage (below) showed the injured football star in severe pain. He sat on the ground in tears, appearing to be in extreme agony as he hit the ground with his fist.
This isn’t the first roadblock Foster reached in his pro-sports career. Last season, he was dropped by the San Francisco 49ers after facing domestic violence charges, reported the New York Post. The charges were eventually dropped after he got picked up by the Redskins.
Fellow professional football players, including Le'Veon Bell, sent their well wishes and prayers to the young NFL star. Foster’s fans also prayed for him.
Faith Family America’s Prayer for Foster:
Dear Heavenly Father, Please comfort Foster as he recovers from this injury. May you bring healing to his body and understanding to his mind during this time of uncertainty. Bring him closer to You. Use this unfortunate situation for good, and above all else, use it for Your glory. Amen!
It is unknown how this injury will impact his football career in the long run. In other trending news, a well-known supporting actor tragically took his own life at only 42 years old. Read the details here.
