A new claim is being reported that O.J. Simpson tried to cash in after the horrible attack that took place in Las Vegas. Earlier in the week, a hate-filled shooter claimed the lives of 59 people and wounded hundreds of others.
Stephen Paddock, the shooter, opened fire on a massive crowd at a country music concert at an outdoor venue in Las Vegas. The nation was rocked by the news and it has captivated headlines all week since it occurred.
Now, Page Six is reporting that O.J. Simpson may possibly be exploiting the tragedy. According to the report, Simpson was caught staging a paparazzi interview about the tragedy earlier this week.
“The publicity-hungry parolee was caught staging a paparazzi run-in on Wednesday night in a bid to make — and possibly sell — a reaction video about the Las Vegas massacre,” TMZ reports.
“My thoughts and prayers are with everyone,” Simpson says in a video taken by both TMZ and his alleged accomplice. This also isn’t the first time Simpson has tried this kind of scam tactic.
“He made headlines earlier this week in similar fashion when he was “surprised” by a paparazzo at a Nevada gas station. The run-in was nearly identical to the one he allegedly set up on Wednesday night,” according to Page Six.
According to TMZ, Simpson could be in major trouble if he sold the interview tape and the money went into his own pocket. It would reportedly violate federal tax law. Simpson is now living in Las Vegas.
