July 05, 2017Jul 05, 2017

US Rep. Steve Scalise, wounded in a shooting last month at a congressional baseball practice, was Readmitted back to MedStar Washington Hospital Center intensive-care unit on Wednesday night.

Upon surgery and treatment, Congressman Scales was seemingly doing better and healing. However, things just took a turn for the worst.

He has now been readmitted to the intensive care unit at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He is now listed in ”serious” condition.

The announcement comes as a downgrade for his health. It is reportedly due to an infection he has contracted.

Scalise was one of four shot in the incident exactly three weeks ago, including congressional staffer Zach Barth, Capitol Police special agent Crystal Griner, and Tysons Food lobbyist Matt Mika, who was recently released from the hospital, according to the Washington Examiner.

The Hospital will provide another update tomorrow, July 6. Please join us in praying for Rep. Scalise. We wish him and his family the best of health and are keeping them in our prayers.
