Nissan is recalling more than 56,000 cars for power steering threats. Some cars are having issues with power steering hoses that leak fluid and could potentially lead to fires.

Nissan North America reports the recall affects the 2013-2014 Murano vehicles.

They say the problem is a result of the power steering hose clamp not being secured adequately to the hose. This can allow the hose to detach and leak fluid, which could eventually lead to a fire if leaked on a hot engine or exhaust pipes.

Nissan Murano owners affected by the recall are told dealers will install a new power steering hose kit for free if taken to a Nissan dealer.

Car owners are encouraged to contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 or visit www.safecar.gov

If you have a Nissan Murano, make sure you get in contact with a dealer!
