A heartbreaking news story has just made headlines. A reality television star has just killed a U.S. Coast Guard service member in a tragic DUI accident.

Melissa Hancock has been charged with driving while intoxicated and maiming. She is 25 years old and is best known for her appearance on Lifetime’s reality show, “Little Women: Atlanta.” The show was centered around little women.

Hancock is charged in the death of Petty Officer 2nd Class Daniel Dill. Dill, who was 29 years old, was on his way to pick up his wife and her friends around 2:00 AM when the accident occurred. According to police, Hancock crashed into Dill’s vehicle head-on.

“Hancock told a state police trooper she drank two to four mixed drinks at a local nightclub about an hour before the crash, investigators said. Hancock's blood alcohol content tested at 0.112 percent two hours after the crash, exceeding the 0.08 legal limit,” authorities said.

Dill died from his injuries the following day. His family is now preparing for his funeral. The military has also announced he will be buried with military honors. Hancock is now awaiting her fate for being responsible for the tragedy.

"Everyone involved feels horrible about the tragic accident," said Hancock's attorney, Stephen Pfeiffer. "We are investigating the accident and the allegations against Miss Hancock."
