Reality television star Amanda Stanton has recently been arrested and charged with domestic violence. Stanton was arrested at her hotel room while vacationing in Las Vegas.
According to PEOPLE, Stanton, who is known for her role on the "Bachelor" and "Bachelor in Paradise," was in Las Vegas, Nevada for a friend's bachelorette party. The alleged incident took place on Monday morning around 3:15 a.m.
Authorities report that they responded to the hotel room on a battery domestic violence call. Stanton allegedly battered her boyfriend Bobby Jacobs.
She was arrested on one count of domestic battery and was transported to a local detention center. Stanton was reportedly released later on Monday.
Stanton’s rep, Steve Honig, released a statement saying, “Amanda is embarrassed and ashamed this happened and sincerely apologizes to hotel security and the Las Vegas Police Department. Amanda is a gentle, respectful person who has never gotten physical with anyone under any circumstance. That evening she had a few drinks at a bachelorette party and when hotel security asked her and Bobby to quiet down, she got a bit rambunctious.”
Honig went on to say, “Amanda gave Bobby what she thought was a playful shove; hotel security did their job and reported the incident to the police, who in turn did their job,” Honig continued. “Despite Bobby explaining this was not an ill-intended shove, the police still had to do their job which Amanda completely respects and understands.”
