British reality star Malin Andersson needs our prayers. Love Island star just revealed that her baby has tragically died.
Andersson's baby was just four weeks when she passed away. The baby, who Andersson named Consy, was born seven weeks early on December 23.
The little girl was rushed to the intensive care unit at London's Great Ormond Street hospital after complications arose.
The 25-year-old shared the heartbreaking news in a post on Instagram. She revealed that her baby girl had died a little over a year after her mother passed away.
She wrote, "Completely in love with you... and my Mum just wanted you to be with her. Your time wasn’t ready yet. Mummy loves you," she wrote.
"I stayed with you each day.. you opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes. I’m so sorry I couldn’t do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy."
Andersson's mother died from breast cancer in 2017. This is the fourth major loss for the star in her short years. Her father died from skin cancer after battling the disease twice, and her good friend Sophie Gradon died last year of a suspected suicide.
Andersson revealed the background for her daughter's unique name. The reality star and her boyfriend Tom Kemp had chosen to name their little one after her beloved mother.
"Happy New Year..Tom and I are so happy to let you all know that our baby girl CONSY arrived in this world 23rd December 2018, seven weeks early," she wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of their little girl in an incubator.
"She is so beautiful, we are totally in love with her and feel so blessed that she is here but unfortunately due to complications, she is currently being cared for at Great Ormond Street. We have received a number of messages over the past week and there has been a lot of speculation and so we wanted to share our news with you so you could hear from us first hand."
Andersson opened up about the traumatic situation at the time. She revealed that she unable to even hold her baby.
"This has been the most difficult time I have ever gone through. I just want to hold her.. It’s different to my mum last year. My mum was ready to go.. my little girl isn’t. She has given me the ultimate purpose in my life and I’m not prepared to let her go," she said.
Later, she also asked for prayers for the baby girl. She wrote, "Please get all your healing and prayers in for baby Consy."
Please join us in praying for Andersson and Kemp as they mourn the tragic loss of their little girl. This will undoubtedly be a trying time for the young mother who has already lost so much.
