The newest movie in the "James Bond" series is set to hit theaters soon. Now, more details are being revealed about the upcoming film.

Most fans are used to seeing a "Bond villain" try and destroy the world's favorite spy. However, the new villain in the latest film is Rami Malek. He took the role but had one stipulation for playing the "bad guy" in the movie.

"I said, 'We cannot identify him with any act of terrorism reflecting an ideology or religion,'" he told the outlet. "That's not something I would entertain, so if that is why I am your choice then you can count me out."

Malek also admitted there's a lot of pressure with starring in a Bond film. He's excited about the opportunity but knows how much work it will be. He also wanted to make sure his role aligned with his values.

The Oscar-winning "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Mr. Robot" star previously expressed disdain for playing stereotypical "terrorist" roles in the past and told the publication that the movie's director, Cary Fukunaga, envisioned the character as a change of pace compared to other roles in the same vein, according to Fox.

Malek is of Egyptian descent. He discussed his cultural background and his immigrant family as well. We speculate his close connection to the Middle East went into his decision on the character.
