On Wednesday, January 2, Queen Elizabeth II was given some sad news. She found out that one of her beloved horses, PH Keston, has passed away. This news comes just a few months after her last beloved corgi, Whisper, died.
It is no secret that Queen Elizabeth is a huge fan of animals. She has owned pets for the last 88 years of her life. Queen E grows personally attached to them and treats them like members of the royal family. Now, she is mourning the loss of another one of her favorites.
A Met Task Force spokesperson made the announcement.
They said, "It's with the greatest of sadness to announce that PH Keston has passed away. PH Keston regularly escorted HM the Queen on various state events and other high profile occasions. He was a real crowd pleaser with people around London. Thank you for your service Keston. RIP."
Anyone that knows Queen E well, knows that she is a huge fan of horses. Just prior to the death, all of the Queen's horses were able to participate in the New Years Day Parade.
Queen Elizabeth began riding when she was only six years old. Now, even at the age of 92, Her Majesty still rides on a daily basis. According to reports, she will often ride on the grounds of Windsor Castle on her pony, Carltonlima Emma.
Because of her deep attachment to her animals, Queen Elizabeth feels as though she has lost a member of her family. In other recent news, Olivia Newton-John has just spoken out about the rumors surrounding her health.
