Professional Entertainer Dies from AIDS/HIV Complications in New York

In recent years, Broadway theater has gained a lot of media attention. The iconic street in New York, known for its phenomenal theatrical plays, is home to numerous celebrities and entertainers.

Unfortunately, one of the most talented and innovative artists of our time has just passed away. Michael Friedman has officially passed away.

Friedman was 41 at the time of his passing. According to reports, he died from complications related to HIV/AIDs.

Friedman’s best-known work is the rock musical “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” which imagines the seventh president of the United States as an emo rock star. First performed in 2008, “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” opened on Broadway in September 2010 and closed in January 2011 after 120 performances, according to Page Six.

Friedman was also an artist-in-residence at The Public Theater. He also served as the theater’s director. He was also known fro co-founding The Civilians.
