In early December, it was revealed that the Queen would be breaking protocol for Prince Harry’s soon-to-be wife Meghan Markle. As tradition stands, only official members of the Royal family are welcomed for Christmas festivities, but this year, the Queen allowed Markle to join their family for the holidays.
The newly-engaged Royal couple happily spent time with Harry’s family, participating in extravagant meals, tea time, church, a gift exchange, and other special traditions.
On Wednesday, December 27th, the Prince appeared in a radio interview with BBC, where he discussed how it went having his fiance over for Christmas.
Harry began, “She really enjoyed it. The family loved having her there...I think together we had an amazing time, we had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law...running around with the kids.”
He continued, “Christmas was fantastic. We’re really looking forward to a new year, and looking forward to 2018.”
The Prince also admitted to having to explain some family traditions to his future wife, but said she did an “amazing job.” The Royal family is a large family, and Harry noted it’s the “family [Markle] never had.”
