Specifically, the R&B star was accused of fraudulently receiving Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, and he allegedly used some of these funds to purchase himself a Ferrari.

A few months later, news came out that it was also true. Baby BlueHe eventually pleaded guilty to the charges. He eventually admitted to falsifying documents in order to obtain two PPP loans of $426,717 & $708,065.

There has been an update on the situation. Baby Blue‘s sentencing. News broke last week that the 37 year-old artist was sentenced for his role in the wire fraud scheme. He was also ordered to pay more than $2 million in forfeiture and restitution.

When commenting on this matter, Baby Blue According to some, they made this observation:

“The judge was fair.”

It’s currently unclear when the singer will begin serving out his sentence.

He also addressed the matter via Instagram yesterday (Wednesday 22nd December). He wrote:

“I can’t go back and change the beginning, but I can start where I am and change the ending. There are things in life we don’t want to happen but have to accept; Lessons in life we don’t want to know but have to learn. We have to remember that life’s greatest lessons are usually learned at the worst times and from the worst mistakes. Sometimes the bad things that happens to us end up putting us on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.”

Baby Blue continued:

“Life can change in a second, can be taken in a second so live your best life! Do your best to help others. Always be there to support the people you love the most. Some people are lessons. Some people are an example of what not to do. Learn from yesterday, live for today, prepare for a better tomorrow.”
