President Trump Under Fire for Signing Bibles in Alabama

President Trump is getting slammed once again by critics. Recently, the president visited Alabama after the devastating tornados wreaked havoc on the state.

While visiting Opelika, Ala. President Trump stopped by a Southern Baptist church. Reportedly, many of the churchgoers asked the president to sign their Bibles - to which he abided.

Although many residents were pleased to have the president there and even called his visit "a godsend," critics were quick to criticize him for signing his autograph on The Holy Bible.

Apparently, presidents signing Bibles is nothing new. Several former presidents have done the same thing.

According to The Washington Post, "Peter Manseau, the Smithsonian’s curator of religion, said past presidents have signed Bibles, including George W. Bush and President Ronald Reagan. President Barack Obama and Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts reportedly signed a Bible owned by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at the request of his family."
