President Trump gave an exclusive interview to Tucker Carlson of Fox News this past Wednesday night.
It was during that interview that President Trump was asked about his use of Twitter and his other social media outlets.
"Well, let me tell you about tweeting. I think that maybe I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Twitter because I get such a fake press, such a dishonest press. I mean, if you look at, andI'mm not including Fox, because I think Fox has been fair to me, but if you look at CNN and these other networks...NBC. I made a fortune for NBC. I was very good for to NBC and they are despicable in their coverage," said President Trump.
He went on to say how when added together, his social media accounts reach close to 100,000 million followers. Having 100,000 million people at the tips of his fingers allows President Trump to create his own media, and bypass the fake reporting and biased spin that takes place.
"I call it the fake press, the fake media. It is a disgrace what's happening," said the president.
President Trump used Twitter daily during his campaign and it allowed him to tell his version of events or stories, compared to what the media reported. Many people thought the President shouldn't tweet so much. However, since becoming the Commander-in-chief, President Trump hasn't backed down from the social media platform one bit.
