President Donald Trump recently visited Germany to attend the G-20 summit with many other world leaders. During the trip, he was accompanied by First Daughter Ivanka Trump.

Trump was under fire after the media reported Ivanka held his seat for a short period of time in meetings. According to the Guardian, he asked his daughter to step in briefly as he stepped out of the room. Many news sources reported it was ‘inappropriate’ and Twitter also blew up with criticism.

However, Trump defended his decision, stating it was ‘very standard’ and ‘Angela M agrees’. Angela Merkel is the chancellor of Germany and was also present at the G-20 summit.

In a later Tweet, Trump also came to Ivanka’s defense and called out the mainstream media. He made a comparison to how the media would react if Hillary Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton, took the seat if Hillary was president. He said, they would say, “CHELSEA FOR PRES.”

Chelsea Clinton eventually responded by saying her parents wouldn’t have asked her and implied Trump is the one giving our country away. She writes, “Good morning Mr. President. It would never have occurred to my mother or my father to ask me. Were you giving our country away? Hoping not.”
