President Trump and First Lady Melania hosted a long-standing White House tradition on Monday morning. The first family welcomed over 20,000 guests to the White House front lawn to participate in the 139th annual Easter Egg Roll.
Families were greeting by the President, First Lady, and Barron Trump,
“Welcome to the White House,” President Trump said to the crowd Monday morning. “We will be stronger and bigger and better as a nation than ever before and we are right on track.”
President Trump made a special point to thank Melania for all her hard work in making the event possible and a success. Kellyann Conway and Sean Spicer were also in attendance. Spicer and Melania even hosted a reading nook where they spent time reading to the children.
Other highlights of the morning included the Marine Corps band putting on a show for the families, 18,000 wooden commemorative eggs handed out the children, and a station where kids write and color letters to send to troops overseas.
