Tragically, another young woman has died after using her phone in the bath. Back in July, a Texas teen died after using her phone in the bathtub while it was plugged into a charger.
The same thing appears to have happened to a 21-year-old woman from France. However, this time is even more tragic; the woman was just two weeks away from giving birth.
The Daily Mail reports that French authorities say she died after being electrocuted by her phone. She died on New Year's Eve in the town of Saint-Martin-d'Hères near Grenoble, France.
Her husband ran out to run some errands and forgot his keys. He had to break through his front door when she didn't answer his knocking or phone calls.
Tragically, he found her submerged in the water and unconscious after he broke through the door. She had suffered cardiac arrest while in the tub.
Her husband called 911, but medics were unable to save the woman or her baby.
The woman and her husband have not been publicly named.
Officials have launched an investigation into the cause of death. However, they believe it was caused by the phone, which was found charging 'in the immediate vicinity' of the bathtub.
The woman's husband was taken to the hospital. He had to be treated for shock after finding his wife dead.
