Company Urging Consumers to Not Eat This Recalled Pantry Staple

July 24, 2017Jul 24, 2017

The popular baked bean company Bush Brothers & Company has issued a recall on three of their baked beans. The recall comes after discovering the cans have “potentially defective side seams.”

The affected cans include Bush's Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans, Country Style Baked Beans, and Original Baked Beans. All recalled beans have a best by date of June 2019.

While there have not been reports of illness or “other adverse consequences” due to these faulty cans, the company is still encouraging consumers to not eat the recalled beans. ”We urge you to dispose of these affected products immediately even if the beans do not look or smell spoiled.” Bush's said in a statement on Saturday.
